For founder and artist Liz Williams, getting here wasn’t a piece of cake.
Liz fell in love with the culinary industry at 15 while working at a local farmers market and Chardeau’s Classic Catering. She dove into classes at Prosser and Sullivan University. It was a running joke amongst her friends and instructors how much she disliked baking.
She Became a Tough Cookie – After college, Liz served in the Navy’s aviation division and then followed a calling in law enforcement administration. That’s where she met her husband. Six years and three babies later, Liz decided to hang-up her hat and be a full-time mom.
“I realized I just might lose my mind staying home with three young kids after being in law enforcement for 6 years. so I took up a hobby. My time in the military and law enforcement taught me that life is meant to overcome challenges, so I tried my hand at baking again. While I initially hated the science behind baking, I loved decorating and food styling.”
Working on novelty 3D cakes and dessert buffets, Liz noticed a lack of options for those with specific dietary restriction such as vegan, nut-free, sugar-free, dairy-free and ketogenic. Things took-off and Liz found herself in a thriving at-home business that catered to all dessert lovers.
